Food & Spirit : A whole person approach that looks at seven systems of energy or health to assess any imbalance. Through the lens of the ROOT, FLOW, FIRE, LOVE, TRUTH, INSIGHT and SPIRIT, we find insights into physical, emotional and spiritual health. This holistic perspective is the foundation for total health and healing.
Using meditation, breathing techniques, mindful stretching and movement we create the body mind bridge to healing. These tools and practices of yoga are a wonderful support to find balance in your life. I incorporate a variety of these into my sessions Kripalu Yoga is my foundation and is often named ”Meditation in Motion,” which is to say that with conscious breathing and focused awareness, you create a connection to yourself. Kripalu Yoga develops the body, mind and spirit in a compassionate and non-judgmental way. The combination of total self-acceptance, with a willingness to open into untapped places within yourself, brings you an opportunity to grow and learn. In a typical session, which can include meditation, warm-ups, yoga postures and relaxation, we explore the concept of “Yoga Off the Mat.” This means that what shows up on the yoga mat often mirrors patterns in our daily lives. Those insights gained through the wisdom of the body, empower us to transform and grow.
